Transitioning to a Year Round School schedule.

What is a Year Round School?

Year Round Schools are schools that take the standard 180 day school year and reorganize it over 12 months. The traditional summer break is then spread out to give students more frequent breaks and/or the opportunity to join "intersessions" or "intensives" aimed at enriching the student's educational experience.

For small schools a Year Round School schedule can significantly increase the amount of students served while utilizing the same resources: educators and facilities.

For the Verdi EcoSchool, transitioning to a Year Round Schedule will give us the ability to reach more students and continue to grow our vision of "Real Life Learning" and student choice.
